This week we are going to shine our spotlight on one of our favorite rustic venues in North Carolina! The Farm at Brusharbor and their newest venue, The Farmstead, are located in Mt. Pleasant, NC. The barns are located on the family’s 350-acre working cattle farm, but that does not mean they are not up to wedding par. Both are climate controlled and have multiple ceremony site options for happy couples. The rustic feel of the farm is the perfect venue for an outdoor wedding with an inside barn reception. The scenic views and sunsets are absolutely breathtaking making it the perfect wedding backdrop. The venues are both completely referral based, which proves their constant positive reviews! We understand how important being a referral based company is, and we personally have never had less than an outstanding experience with either venue and their entire team.

The team at this family farm are nothing short of amazing! Being a very family oriented business, it is very likely to see the team personally at each event helping in any way that they can. Amy, Erin and Colleen, who are all sister-in-laws, left their Full-Time careers to bring this dream to life and dedicate as much time as possible to it. Erin and Amy were Elementary School teachers, and Colleen worked in Real Estate before working on the farm full time. The farm was purchased six years ago in April and after only four months, this power team transformed The Farm at Brusharbor to the perfect wedding venue for one of their very own, Erin. Christopher and Erin got married on the farm in July of 2012 as the very first wedding ever held there.
Amy, Colleen, and Erin work together as a team to ensure each event is flawless. They work with brides and grooms from the start of their planning to their big day. They take turns being the point of contact for each person that inquires. Once they reach out to you specifically, they will work with you every step of the way. This brings ease to the bride and groom knowing that the same person will help them with every detail and be right by their side for the duration of planning and on their wedding day. Both Brusharbor and The Farmstead have many options to create a unique wedding for each bride and groom. Both venues are fully equipped with tables, chairs, linens and even dishes to help simplify your planning. Now that’s what we call a detailed wedding venue!

Although they mainly focus on weddings, the Farm is also a wonderful event space for family reunions, corporate gatherings, and local Cabarrus County events. They continue to be a top contender in the wedding industry because of their strong family values as they live, work, and raise their families on the land. There are seven children total between the three families, but they work collaboratively to ensure their brides and vendors are always happy. Super moms and super wedding vendors - The dynamic duo of traits!
Amy and the team prefer working with vendors who work consistently to make the brides and grooms happy. Amy says, “It is so important that all the vendors have open lines of communication. We want to work with vendors who are respectful, professional, and detail oriented. Those are the main things that tie a wedding together.” For that reason, they love working with Split Second Sound. Amy says, “We get so excited to work with Split Second Sound because, like us, they are a family-oriented business. They really take the time to get to know each couple, their culture, and what their guests will like.” We look forward to watching this venue grow as they continue to beautify the land. They plan to add something new each year!

We joke that our DJs should just stay overnight at both venues during wedding season because we are there so often. We are very honored to be a top referred DJ Entertainment company from Amy, Colleen, and Erin. It is something we never take for granted as they run their business exactly like ours - Referral based & family operated.
