Vendor Spotlight of the Week - Something Perfect

Something Perfect is the company name, but everything they do is perfect! Organization, creativity, and all around sweet people, this wedding planning team is always a joy to work with. Owner & founder of Something Perfect is Samie Roberts, and she is a pure talent in our industry. She just welcomed her beautiful babygirl Chloe in March, and we know we have a future planner on our hands with Samie as her mom!

Samie has been working in the events industry for ten years and worked in New York originally, but founded Something Perfect over four years ago. Her journey began with a couple of internships for fashion designers in NYC where she also dabbled in PR work for publications and event planning. From launches for big brands to fashion shows, Samie was able to experience many routes for six years before finding her true love and calling in wedding planning. She says, “Coming from an agency, I have a professional background but also a caring personality. I care that our couples are relaxed and enjoying the process, no matter how big or small their dream or budget is.” For her, it is all about getting to know the couple to find their true vision and relieve the stress.

Something Perfect specializes in everything from coordination packages to full service planning with partial planning in between. Samie has a dedicated team dedicated to making sure clients have a great experience from beginning to end and are always having fun with it all. By approaching the planning process with a great passion, it does not feel like a job for them - Instead it is a joy!

The many aspects of a wedding make a planner feel like their job is the best. Samie says for her it is when the couple is just truly so in love that you can feel it! When Samie does get some down time from mom life & wedding planning, you can find her doing any of these three: Traveling, trying new restaurants and breweries in Charlotte, or spending time with her dog.

By having a real dedication in making the couple’s lives easier on their big day, the consistency and reliability are added bonuses of the vendors they recommend. Vendor Spotlight of the Week - Lisa Pleasant Events

Split Second Sound has had the opportunity to work alongside some incredible individuals over the years and one of our favorites has to be Lisa Pleasant of Lisa Pleasant Events. Her story is not the typical “just love planning weddings” story. She went to school for Economics, Spanish, and Mathematical Finance and started working on the back end of an algorithmic trading firm after school. Very soon after, she took over a club promotions company that fell into her lap where her natural bubbly personality was showcased, but her true calling came when her brother got engaged. When he asked for her help, she fully dove into the task and loved the challenge and decided to start her own company shortly after. Her love for being a planner starts with the logistics that come with planning as she is a self-proclaimed “math nerd.” Spreadsheets, floor plans, organization, and pulling all of it together are her strengths and make up her passion for what she does. This week we are shining our spotlight on our very own West Virginia gal! You all know her, love her, and frequently see her out and about representing our Split Second Sound name! Her creativity, thought, and effort she puts into each one of our events is unmatched! Not only does she work with each bride and groom to ensure they have the perfectly matched DJ and tunes for their wedding day, but she also contributes to the light-hearted fun in the office environment. Sarah, our Brand & Event Manager, has worked at Split Second Sound for almost two years and handles the event planning, sales, branding, and networking.
