Vendor Spotlight of the Week - Something Perfect

Something Perfect is the company name, but everything they do is perfect!  Organization, creativity, and all around sweet people, this wedding planning team is always a joy to work with.  Owner & founder of Something Perfect is Samie Roberts, and she is a pure talent in our industry.  She just welcomed her beautiful babygirl Chloe in March, and we know we have a future planner on our hands with Samie as her mom!

Samie has been working in the events industry for ten years and worked in New York originally, but founded Something Perfect over four years ago.  Her journey began with a couple of internships for fashion designers in NYC where she also dabbled in PR work for publications and event planning.  From launches for big brands to fashion shows, Samie was able to experience many routes for six years before finding her true love and calling in wedding planning.  She says, “Coming from an agency, I have a professional background but also a caring personality. I care that our couples are relaxed and enjoying the process, no matter how big or small their dream or budget is.”  For her, it is all about getting to know the couple to find their true vision and relieve the stress.

Something Perfect specializes in everything from coordination packages to full service planning with partial planning in between.  Samie has a dedicated team dedicated to making sure clients have a great experience from beginning to end and are always having fun with it all.  By approaching the planning process with a great passion, it does not feel like a job for them - Instead it is a joy!

The many aspects of a wedding make a planner feel like their job is the best. Samie says for her it is when the couple is just truly so in love that you can feel it! When Samie does get some down time from mom life & wedding planning, you can find her doing any of these three: Traveling, trying new restaurants and breweries in Charlotte, or spending time with her dog.

The Something Perfect’s preferred vendors gain their spot by being passionate about the wedding industry and their clients! By having a real dedication in making the couple’s lives easier on their big day, the consistency and reliability are added bonuses of the vendors they recommend. Planners bring a value that most do not realize they need. Brides have not planned a wedding before, so it is very easy to forget specifics or be overwhelmed when narrowing down choices. By hiring a professional wedding planner, couples not only get access to the top referred vendors in town but also input and guidance to create their dream team.

Congratulations to you Samie Roberts on your newest bundle of joy & our Split Second Sound family sends you all of our love for your continued support!

Split Second Sound is now in Asheville NC Full-Time with Chris Bower!

It has happened! Split Second Sound has officially also expanded to Asheville NC full time while still holdin' it down in The Queen City, Charlotte NC! Two cities, same incredible product, and even more unforgettable parties!! Being a part of many weddings in the beautiful city of Asheville as well as providing entertainment for many members of the Biltmore family members’ weddings, expanding to this city has always been a goal of Split Second Sound’s. We are firm believers that in order to bring a dream to life, it takes the right people and best support system. Our Charlotte office runs like a well-oiled machine, and our DJs here are unmatched. We wanted that same dedication, organization, and of course fun for our next city and found that when Chris Bower came along. Chris is originally from Florida but moved to Asheville in early 2018. After getting to know his extensive DJ background, his loving family, and his drive to make a difference with his work,...

DJ Feature - Chris Pounds

While all of SSS MC/DJs are exclusive, Chris Pounds is also our full-time DJ, so we are sure you have seen his face around at many of our events! When first moving to Charlotte, he DJ’d at the same club every Friday for 3 months knowing every song that would be played after the next, after the next. That situation was not allowing Chris to take his craft to the next limit, which led him to inquiring with Split Second. Although his mixing was top notch, he still completed our training process to learn how to run a wedding, master his coordination & interaction, and truly learn the SSS way and understand the SSS brand. Chris’ love for spinning started at a gymnasium party 30 years ago. He saw a friend on the turntables, began learning the fundamentals of spinning & creating music, and started his official DJ career in his early 20s. He puts high emphasis on himself on how to not just get guests on the dance floor, but keep them there all night. He pushes himself to entertain by...

DJ Feature - Steve Bradle

He got his first KISS album when he was just six years old. He would crank it as loud as the stereo would handle and jump around on the bed playing air guitar with his tennis racquet and singing at the top of his lungs. When people asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, the answer was simple….A ROCKSTAR! He got his first start as a lead singer in a hair band when he was 15 and the rest, well, it has been history. Everyone meet Steve Bradle! Steve has a part of the Carolina Panthers Black & Blue Crew for 6 seasons and is even co-captain and one of the four flag runners when the Panthers score a touchdown. He is a full-time personal trainer with Camp Gladiator where he runs five outdoor workout locations for 60-70 people weekly. He has been a part of the Charlotte Hornets Swarm Squad and at one time was a professional mascot with the Charlotte Hounds lacrosse team. He has been backup to Chubby with the CHeckers, has danced in front of 72k people as Sir Purr’s mini si...
