DJ Feature - Levar Gladden

You know him, you love him, and SSS is lucky to have him as a part of our family for 12 years now! As one of our Elite MC/DJs, Levar’s requests and reviews are one of the most consistent we have ever had. With his wife Eneida and his sweet baby boy Wesley as his support system, he has made an impact on our company & industry more than most - And he was the chosen DJ for both NBA All-Star Player Steph Curry & Panther’s Captain Munnerlyn and Tre Boston’s weddings!

He has been a man of the music since he was a kid writing his first rap at the age of 9, learning to play the trumpet at 12, and getting involved in the producing side of it all at 17. It just would not feel right to Levar if he was not in the music and entertainment industry. He learned firsthand from owner Vinny Esposito as well as other guys in the company to grow musically over the years. His ability to produce music makes it easier for him to transition into reading the crowd for parties and understand how the music itself is created.

He is brilliant in the music world, his personality always shines through, and he has never met a stranger. After meeting him and seeing him in action, it is easy to see why he is at the level he is but Levar believes it all starts well before wedding day. He takes pride in meeting with couples before their day to truly get to know them beyond the forms. He wants to leave the meeting feeling like he has known them for years. To be able to cater to that couple as best as he can, the prep work makes all the difference.

The single person he looks up to the most has to be his mom. She raised him as a single mom who worked the same job for 30 years. He saw how it wore her down, but she worked so hard for her family and never complained. When Levar’s energy starts to die down, he remembers her drive and tells himself he can do it if she did it.

Levar is not one to be phased by celebrities, but Martin Lawrence is an exception. He says he would ask him for a photo and autograph in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose. We could definitely see those two being friends!

Communication is key to Levar as he believes it is crucial for everyone involved in a wedding to know their role to be able to provide a great and easy execution. Levar is a strong believer that the foundation and family aspect of SSS will allow him to continue growing for another 12 years and beyond - And we agree! He is a family man, a friend to all, and a talent that is unmatched. We are thankful to have you, Levar!
