The Ritz-Carlton was the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) built hotel in Charlotte and the first built for the Ritz-Carlton Brand. The Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte earned this certification by multiple characteristics that make this hotel “green” and environmentally friendly. The roof of the Ritz is vegetated with vegetables and herbs, which are used in the craft cocktails of the hotel restaurant and bar. Not only is the Ritz LEED certified, but they also received a Five Diamond award for consistently outstanding customer service.

Kim and the Special Events Managers look for vendors that treat their customers with the same outstanding customer service as they would treat them at their venue. Kim says, “One of my favorite things about working in the hospitality industry is the local vendors because they are a wonderful group of people.” Kim loves making people happy and especially enjoys working with Split Second Sound. “The customer service is always amazing. We know our couples will be taken care of as SSS always listens to what the couple needs,” Kim says.

Although his mixing was top notch, he still completed our training process to learn how to run a wedding, master his coordination & interaction, and truly learn the SSS way and understand the SSS brand. Chris’ love for spinning started at a gymnasium party 30 years ago. He saw a friend on the turntables, began learning the fundamentals of spinning & creating music, and started his official DJ career in his early 20s. He puts high emphasis on himself on how to not just get guests on the dance floor, but keep them there all night. He pushes himself to entertain by
